Overview

Magnet’s Slack integration brings your workspace into your team’s communication flow. Share Magnet links and get rich previews, or @mention the Magnet bot to create issues directly from Slack.

Setting up Slack

1

Go to Integrations

Open Settings > Integrations in the Magnet dashboard.
2

Connect Slack

Click Connect Slack and authorize Magnet for your Slack workspace.

Creating issues with @mentions

Once connected, you can @mention the Magnet bot in any channel or thread to create an issue:
@Magnet Add dark mode support to the settings page
Magnet will:
  1. Create a new issue with an auto-generated title
  2. Reply in the thread with a link to the issue
This is a fast way to capture bugs, feature requests, or tasks without leaving Slack. When someone shares a Magnet link in Slack — to an issue, session, or page — Magnet automatically unfurls it with a rich preview showing the title, status, and key details.
